
Toughened Glass
Toughened glass is produced by heating float glass to ~620°C and rapidly cooling it, creating surface compressive stress that makes it 4–5 times stronger than standard glass. Critically, when broken it shatters into small, blunt dice rather than dangerous shards — meeting IS 2553 safety requirements. As toughened glass cannot be cut or drilled after tempering, all cutting, edge finishing, and holes must be specified in your initial order.
